Producing Insurance After a Crash
If another person is injured and you do not produce your insurance certificate at the time of the crash to a police officer or to anyone having reasonable grounds to request it, you MUST

If someone is injured in a crash and you don’t show your insurance certificate when asked by the police or someone with a good reason, you must do so as soon as possible later. This usually means taking it to a police station within the required time. For example, if you’re involved in a collision where a cyclist is hurt and you don’t have your insurance documents with you, you must later present them at a police station specified by the officer or as directed.
