Incidents Involving Dangerous Goods
If an incident involves a vehicle containing dangerous goods, follow the advice in Rule 283 and, in particular

If a crash or breakdown involves a vehicle carrying dangerous goods, you must treat it with extra caution and follow the emergency advice in Rule 283. For example, if you see a lorry with hazard warning plates involved in a collision, keep well back, do not smoke or use naked flames nearby, and call the emergency services, telling them it’s a dangerous goods vehicle.
