Breakdowns and incidents•Rule 283
What To Do After A Crash
If you are involved in a crash or stop to give assistance
💡Example
This rule explains what you must do if you’re involved in a collision or stop to help at one, such as keeping safe, warning other road users and helping anyone who is injured. For example, if you come across a crash on an A-road, you would park in a safe place, switch on your hazard lights, keep yourself out of danger and then check if anyone needs first aid or emergency help while calling 999 if necessary.
