Waiting and parking•Rule 248
Parking Direction at Night
This rule is a legal requirement
You MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space.
💡Example
You must not park at night facing the wrong way against the flow of traffic, unless you are in a marked parking bay. For example, on a two-way residential street you should park so your car faces the same direction as the traffic on your side of the road, not nose-to-nose with cars on the opposite side, unless you are using a signed, designated parking space.
