Rules of the RoadDifficulty: 1/5
You are taking your dog to the vet in your car. What should you do to comply with the Highway Code?
Explanation
Highway Code Rule 57 states that when in a vehicle, dogs and other animals must be suitably restrained so they cannot distract the driver or injure themselves or others if the vehicle stops quickly. Suitable restraints include a seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard. Allowing a dog to sit on your lap, move freely, or be held on a lead while driving is unsafe and does not comply with the Code.
