Waiting and parking•Rule 251
Parking Safely in Fog
Parking in fog. It is especially dangerous to park on the road in fog. If it is unavoidable, leave your parking lights or sidelights on.
💡Example
This rule says you should avoid parking on the road in fog because other drivers may not see your vehicle in time. If you have no choice but to park, you must leave your parking lights or sidelights on. For example, if thick fog suddenly appears and you have to stop on a quiet country road, you should pull in as far left as possible and keep your sidelights on so approaching drivers can see your parked car.
