Waiting and parking•Rule 239
Using Designated Parking Areas
Use off-street parking areas, or bays marked out with white lines on the road as parking places, wherever possible. If you have to stop on the roadside:
💡Example
This rule says you should use proper car parks or marked parking bays on the road whenever you can, instead of stopping at the roadside. For example, if you’re going to the shops, you should park in the supermarket car park or in a marked bay on the street, rather than pulling up on the kerb outside the entrance unless you have no other choice.
