Using the roadRule 195

Approaching Zebra and Parallel Crossings

Zebra and parallel crossings. As you approach a zebra crossing

💡Example

When you approach a zebra or parallel crossing, you must slow down, be prepared to stop and give way to anyone waiting to cross. You should not overtake near the crossing and must make sure the crossing is clear before driving on. For example, as you drive along a residential road and see a zebra crossing ahead with a pedestrian waiting at the kerb, you slow down, stop before the crossing and wait until they have safely crossed before moving off again.
