Using the roadRule 186

Signalling for First Left Exit

Signals and position. When taking the first exit to the left, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

💡Example

When you are taking the first exit on the left at a roundabout, you should position yourself in the left-hand lane and signal left as you approach, unless road signs or markings tell you to do something different. For example, as you approach a small roundabout to turn into a supermarket entrance, you move into the left lane, put your left indicator on before you reach the roundabout, and stay close to the left kerb as you take the first exit.
