This rule tells you to carefully observe and follow all signs, traffic lights and lane markings as you approach a roundabout so you get into the correct lane in good time. For example, if you’re approaching a busy roundabout and the overhead sign shows the right-hand lane for the dual carriageway exit you want, you should move into that lane early and follow the arrows on the road so you don’t have to cut across traffic at the last moment.
