Cycle Junction Facilities

Junctions. Some junctions, particularly those with traffic lights, have special cycle facilities, including small cycle traffic lights at eye-level height, which may allow you to move or cross separately from or ahead of other traffic. Use these facilities where they make your journey safer and easier.

💡Example

Some junctions have special cycle lights allowing cyclists to move separately from other traffic. For example, at a busy city crossroads, you might see a small cycle light at eye level that turns green before the main traffic light, allowing you to cross the junction safely ahead of cars.
