Rules for pedestrians•Rule 35
Navigating Pavement Closures Safely
Street and pavement repairs. A pavement may be closed temporarily because it is not safe to use. Take extra care if you are directed to walk in or to cross the road.
💡Example
If a pavement is closed for repairs, you should be cautious and follow any directions given to safely walk or cross the road. For example, if you are walking down a high street and see barriers blocking the pavement for maintenance, use the designated pedestrian pathway on the road and cross only where signposted.
