Pedestrians and Emergency Vehicles
Emergency vehicles. If an ambulance, fire engine, police or other emergency vehicle approaches using flashing blue lights, headlights and/or sirens, keep off the road.
💡Example
If you see an emergency vehicle with flashing lights or hear sirens, stay off the road to allow it to pass safely. For example, if you're about to cross the street and notice an ambulance approaching with its lights on, remain on the pavement until it has passed.
