This rule explains what to do if your vehicle breaks down or you have an incident while on a level crossing. For example, if your car stalls on a railway crossing and won’t restart, you should get everyone out, move them to a safe place, and then follow the crossing’s emergency instructions or use the emergency telephone to call for help.
