Obstructions on Motorways

Motorways. On a motorway do not try to remove the obstruction yourself. Stop at the next emergency telephone and call for help.

💡Example

If you see something blocking the motorway, you must not stop to move it yourself. Instead, continue to the next emergency telephone and call for help so trained staff can deal with it safely. For example, if you spot a fallen ladder in lane one, you should not pull over to remove it, but drive on to the next emergency phone and report its exact location.
