Breakdown guidance for disabled drivers
Disabled drivers. If you have a disability which prevents you from following the above advice you should

If your disability means you cannot safely follow the usual breakdown advice (like getting out and waiting behind a barrier), you should adapt the guidance to what you can safely do and follow any specific advice given for disabled drivers. For example, if you use a wheelchair and cannot leave the vehicle on a fast road, you might stay in the car with your seatbelt on, switch on your hazard warning lights, call 999 or 112, and clearly explain your situation so the emergency services can help you safely.
