You should drive slowly and carefully and be prepared to stop to allow people extra time to make space for you to pass them in safety.

For example, if you turn into a Home Zone and see children playing football in the road and neighbours chatting by parked cars, you should slow right down, wait patiently, and only pass when they have had enough time to move safely out of your way.
