Road signs, markings, and vehicle markings•Rule 216
Allow for Older Drivers’ Reactions
Older drivers. Their reactions may be slower than other drivers. Make allowance for this.
💡Example
Older drivers may take longer to notice and respond to what’s happening on the road, so you should give them extra time and space. For example, if an older driver is pulling out of a junction slowly, hold back and be patient instead of overtaking or sounding your horn, and be prepared for them to brake or turn more gently than other drivers.
