Using the road•Rule 200
Choosing Safe Places to Turn
Choose an appropriate place to manoeuvre. If you need to turn your vehicle around, wait until you find a safe place. Try not to reverse or turn round in a busy road; find a quiet side road or drive round a block of side streets.
💡Example
Only turn your vehicle around where it is safe, avoiding busy main roads whenever possible. For example, instead of doing a three-point turn on a busy high street, you carry on driving, turn into a quiet side road and use that to turn around safely, or drive around the block to head back the way you came.
