Using the road•Rule 198
Give Way to Crossing Pedestrians
Give way to anyone still crossing after the signal for vehicles has changed to green. This advice applies to all crossings.
💡Example
Even if your traffic light turns green, you must wait for any pedestrians who are still crossing to finish safely. This applies at all types of pedestrian crossings. For example, if the light goes green but an elderly person is still halfway across the road, you must stay stopped until they have completely crossed before you move off.
