Using the road•Rule 201
Reversing from Side Roads and Drives
Do not reverse from a side road into a main road. When using a driveway, reverse in and drive out if you can.
💡Example
You must not reverse from a side road into a main road, as it is dangerous and other drivers may not see you. When using a driveway, it is safer to reverse into it and then drive forwards out. For example, if you are leaving a small side street, you should drive forwards onto the main road rather than backing out, and when parking at home you should reverse onto your drive so you can pull out forwards into the road later.
