Before you move off, you must check all around your vehicle, use your mirrors, and signal if necessary so you don’t endanger or surprise other road users. For example, when parked at the side of a busy road, you check your mirrors and blind spot, indicate, and only pull away when you’re sure no cyclist or car is coming up alongside you.
