General rules, techniques and advice for all drivers and riders•Rule 156
No Parking in Passing Places
Do not park in passing places.
💡Example
You must never park in passing places, as they are designed for vehicles to pull in briefly so others can pass safely, especially on narrow or single-track roads. For example, if you stop and leave your car in a passing place on a country lane, oncoming drivers may be forced to reverse a long distance or risk a dangerous manoeuvre to get around you.
