Toucan Crossings for Cyclists and Pedestrians
Toucan crossings are light-controlled crossings which allow cyclists and pedestrians to share crossing space and cross at the same time. They are push-button operated. Pedestrians and cyclists will see the green signal together. Cyclists are permitted to ride across.
💡Example
Toucan crossings let both cyclists and pedestrians use the crossing at the same time, with a green signal for both. For example, when you're at a toucan crossing, both you and a cyclist next to you can press the button and wait for the green light to cross the road together, with the cyclist riding across without dismounting.
