Toucan Crossings for Cyclists and Pedestrians
Crossings. Toucan crossings are light-controlled crossings which allow cyclists and pedestrians to share crossing space and cross at the same time. They are push-button operated. Pedestrians and cyclists will see the green signal together. Cyclists are permitted to ride across.
💡Example
Toucan crossings are controlled by traffic lights and allow both cyclists and pedestrians to cross together when the green signal shows. For instance, if you're cycling to the park and approach a toucan crossing, simply press the button and wait for the green signal before riding across alongside pedestrians.
