Vehicle ControlDifficulty: 1/5
You want to park on a busy residential street in London. There are no signs allowing pavement parking and space on the road is limited. What should you do?
Explanation
According to Highway Code Rule 244, you MUST NOT park partially or wholly on the pavement in London. Elsewhere, you should not park on the pavement unless signs specifically permit it. Pavement parking can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, including wheelchair users, people with visual impairments and those with prams or pushchairs. You should therefore park fully on the carriageway, even if you need to find a space further away.
